We did it. Hurray!!!! Last Saturday Anne Kendrick, Janet Kendrick and I all did the Little Red Riding Hood. Richard has been drilling and pushing me to get riding so I would be ready for this ride and I have totally drug my feet and went each time kicking and screaming. But boy am I glad that he pushed me. It was such a fun ride and the weather was great! You couldn't have asked for it to be better. Well Anne and I did complain about the wind a few times but in reality it really wasn't that bad. We just needed to whine about something when we got tired.

We signed up for the 58 mile ride but in my mind I though I could quit when ever I got tired because this year I signed Richard up to be the Sagg support. I knew that I could call him any time and he could pick us up. But he didn't need too. We were riding machines this year. It helped that this ride started out with a breakfast including pancakes, bagel with all sorts of cream cheese, fruit and all kinds of energy bars and juice. Then about every 15 miles or so they had a stop with all kinds of fruit, snacks and energy stuff again. That made it easier to know that we just had to make it to the next stop and then set a new goal for the next stop. Lunch was Subway sandwiches with all the fixings.

We made it the whole 58 miles. Anne and I think we could have even gone further. I told Richard I think we could do the 80 miles next year. At the end of the ride they had a big celebration. They greeted you with a tiara thing to put on your head and a strawberry lemonade that was awesome. They also had more subway sandwiches, bagels, salsa and chips, an awesome candy bar that Janet found the right size cup to fill instead of the little ones they had there on the table. Way to go Janet we deserved it. ha ha. And last but not least they had a chocolate fountain. What the heck? I guess after all the hard work and dieting to get ready they really know what you want.

It was so much fun I am so glad I got to do it since two years ago I couldn't go for some reason I can't remember and then this last year I had my ankle surgery so I was so glad to be able to do it this year. Thanks Anne and Janet for riding with me it was a ball. Lets do it again next year...thats if we survive the LOTOJA!!!!
Here's a couple of "want to be" Little Red Riders. Maybe next year for Brinkley, maybe two for Addi. But just keep working at it.
